Miso Chickpeas with Mie Noodles

For the glazed chickpeas

  • 2 cups chickpeas (rinsed)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • ½ tablespoon toasted sesame oil

For the broccoli

  • 3 cups frozen broccoli florets (unthaw)

For the noodles

  • 4 oz mie noodles


  1. Heat up the sesame oil in a frying pan and add the chickpeas, stir fry for about 3-5 minutes until slightly golden brown.
  2. Use a bowl and mix the rest of the ingredients for the glazed chickpeas and add it to the frying pan.
  3. Stir fry until the sauce sticks to the chickpeas.
  4. Steam the broccoli florets until still a bit crunchy for about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Prepare the mie noodles according to the instructions on the package.
  6. Adjust the taste from the chickpeas, eventually sprinkle with some soy sauce.
  7. Serve the chickpeas together with the noodles and the broccoli, enjoy!
