Whenever I think of my Energy Balls with Mango, Ginger, and Turmeric, I think happiness, health, harmony. I also think YUMMM!
Now, I might be a little biased, but I think these are amazing! I was so excited when I found a way to combine these 3 ingredients into a snack because not only are they some of my most favourite ingredients, but they are some of the healthiest ingredients around. Ginger and turmeric are staple pieces in my diet and they should be in yours as well.
This energy ball has all the things us blissful snackers have come to expect (and cherish) from these recipes – healthy goodness, loads of essential vitamin and minerals, and above all else, the taste of perfection. In fact, I’m so convinced you will love these you won’t be able to stop at just one.
What’s so perfect about these? Let’s take a closer look.
To make this recipe, you will need 9 ingredients and 20 minutes. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how easy these are to make! Okay, so yeah, they are easy. Repeat after me – mix, make, munch. That’s all you need to do.
We start of this delightful recipe with almond butter, coconut milk, and dried mango for a good source of fibre, vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium, sodium, iron, and protein. Interestingly, mango’s contain more than 20 key vitamins and minerals, giving us even more reason to eat them (not that we need any more reasons). We then add in rice cake and vegan protein powder for extra protein, carbohydrates, and energy.
The real stars of this show are… drum roll please… yep, you guessed it – turmeric and ginger! So as I mentioned earlier, these are among some of my most favoured and valued ingredients of all time. Why? Well both of these ingredients contain a substantial amount of vitamins and minerals (too many to list) and have many health benefits, such as anti-inflammatory properties, calms nausea, helps the digestive system to work better, and antioxidant related benefits. How can you not love these ingredients?
The energy balls with mango, ginger, and turmeric are perfect snacks because they are:
To store you prepared energy balls, simply pop them into an airtight container or resealable bag and place them in the fridge for up to 48 hours. You can also pop them into the freezer for up to 2 months. Hint – separate your energy balls into desired serving sizes to make it easier for you to grab and go.
I hope you enjoy this recipe! Happy cooking my friends.
