What would you say if someone told you that eating chocolate at any time of the day was perfectly fine for your health? You would probably say that this person was crazy, right? Well, call me crazy! Because that is exactly what I am saying. From breakfast to desert, you can not only have, but enjoy a guilt free chocolate fix.
Now, I don’t think that I am crazy (okay, well maybe a little bit) but I do know I have brand new, creamy chocolate recipe that is sure to wow the pants off you. In fact, I’m willing to bet you will jump aboard my choo-choo train and ride it with me all the way to crazy-ville once you try this! I dare you not to tell your friends you ate chocolate for breakfast after trying this.
What makes this recipe so great? Let’s take a look.
Besides from the amazing taste and the fact that it’s chocolate (do you really need an excuse?), this recipe is super quick and super easy to make. All you will need is 10 minutes and 7 ingredients. And for the best part – it’s a ‘one pot wonder.’ All you will need is a bowl and a blending stick. Which is perfect, because no one enjoys washing up!
While this recipe is packed with impressive ingredients, there are 3 main ingredients that stand out among the rest. Firstly, we have almond milk. Almond milk not only helps to even out our other ingredients and gives us a smoother texture, but it also provides us with a great source of calcium, iron, magnesium, vitamin C, and folate.
Chia seeds sneak in under the radar, but certainly do not go unnoticed. They add a great source of protein, ‘healthy fats,’ and fibre! But the real star of this dish is the avocado. Avocado gives us that overall creamy texture and taste, while also being high in protein, healthy fats, and essential vitamins and minerals.
The avocado chocolate cream with chia seeds is the perfect dish for any time of the day because its:
This chocolate cream is best served soon after being made for the fluffiest, creamiest taste. However, it will store well for 24 hours. Simply place your prepared cream in an airtight container and pop it in the fridge.
For some really fun ideas, try making this recipe of an evening and store it in the fridge for breakfast the next morning. This is a no fuss, no mess on the go breakfast. You could also try packing some up to take to work with you for a snack, as it travels well. Just be sure to remember to put it in the fridge.
So, are you ready to jump on board of the train and enjoy your avocado chocolate cream any time, anywhere?
